"How Sweet It Is Cruising" was founded in 2005 when Joel & Carol Hixon were invited to sail the Gulf of Mexico for 7 days with family and friends aboard the “Rhapsody of the Seas,” one of the beautiful cruise ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet.

Our cruise started in Galveston, Texas with a fun day at sea. Our first port was Key West, Florida! From Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville to Ernest Hemingway’s home, then the very tip end of the United States! You must do Key West!

Our next port followed another fun day at sea, Costa Maya, Mexico! Lot’s of shopping, bicycling, horseback riding on the beach, swimming in the Caribbean Ocean, lying out in the sun, the wonderful tropical jungle with the Macaws flying free and so much more!

Then on to Cozumel, Mexico! Tour the island, do some shopping and just lots and lots of fun!

Finally, two wonderful fun days on the Gulf of Mexico sailing back home to Galveston, Texas!

Not to mention how much food, fun and lots of entertainment there is on the “Rhapsody of the Seas.”

We had so much fun on our first cruise that since then we’ve been on a cruise every year but one! The “Mexican Riviera” in 2006 aboard the Princess Cruise Lines, “Diamond Princess;” The “Eastern Caribbean” in 2007 aboard the Carnival Cruise Lines’ “GLORY;” (we missed 2008) then in July 2009, we took the “Mexican Riviera” again with more family & friends for my sister and brother in law’s 50th wedding anniversary. On that one, we sailed aboard Carnival’s newest ship in the fleet, “SPLENDOR!” Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

I told Carol that I needed to tell everyone I know (and a whole lot that I don’t know) about the “vacation of a lifetime!” A cruise vacation is value to the utmost. You pay one price per person and just about everything is paid for! You can’t beat it! Days at sea range from 3, 4, 5, 7, 10 to “round the world” cruises; on some of the most beautiful ships on the sea!

Come cruise with us at “How Sweet It Is Cruising!” Let’s…

“Have Some Fun!”
